"No man is an island entire, of itself, every man is a part of the continent, a piece of the main...every man's death diminishes me for I am involved in mankind." These famous words by John Donne take on new meaning, when it is your friend that is on the brink of death. We somehow do not consider death as something that could really happen to us, but when your friend that you knew for 30 years, or so, suddenly needs a pacemaker or he may die, then you begin to think about the realities that eventually face us all. And you start to think "I need to help, NOW," well, maybe you can send a little money, but $ 3,000.00 is no small potatoes for someone like me. Maybe if we could get more people to help...(W. What Kind Of Love Is This?
"To love the whole world for me is no chore, my only real problem is the guy next door..." is the beginning of a not so funny poem, cause it accurately reflects human nature. Headley has always shown me love, never ever treated me with disrespect or badly and tried to help when I could not help myself. Now it is he who needs help. I am going to try my best not to let him down, will you help as well ? (W. Grafrath)
